Xi'an XD High Voltage Apparatus Co., Ltd., established by reforming a part of Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Works, is a large-scale manufacturer of transmission and transformation equipment. The predecessor of the Company, Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Works, established in 1955, was one of national 156 key projects during the first Five-Year-Plan and has become an important base for developing and manufacturing H.V, EHV and UHV apparatus in China
after development of decades.Specially in recent years, through regulation of manufacture constitution system, 1400 species of more than 80 varieties of 28 series in 4 catalogues have been formed including H.V.disconnector, H.V. circuit breaker, H.V. currert transformer and distribution apparatus. Our products have been put into operation everywhere in China, involving power networks, hydraulic generation, coal generation, and nuclear generation fields, and also exported to foreign countries and regions. The Company has the 50-year experiences of manufacture H.V. switchgears, The products are stable in performance, reliable in quality, advanced in technology. There are disconnectors of voltage rang from 126~1100kV, among them, type GW4-126, GW7-252, GW10/11-252 etc. disconnectors won the First Prize issued by former National Mechanical Department, Top-quality Product Prize of Shaanxi Province, type GW10/11-252 won Famous Product Prize of Xi'an City, type GW10/11-500 won Top Brand Product of Shaanxi Province. Current transformers of the Company are 35~500kV, and also busbar type for GIS、TGCB. The performances of products reach the advanced international level. Type LVQB-110/220/330W2 and LVQBT-500 current transformers won the "New Product" Prize by National, Provincial and Municipal Governments. From Dec. 2006, ±500kV D.C. current transformer has been operating in power network of SGCC in Gezhouba conversion station, Yichang City. H.V. SF6 circuit breakers with "XD" brand of the Company are with 40.5~550kV of voltage level, up to 4000A of rated current, up to 63kA of breaking current. Involving Hi-Tech, the products are reasonable in design, simple in structure, high in reliability, good performance in earthquake-resistance, long term in inspection and repair, and reach the advanced international level. Type LW□-126 circuit breaker for passive power compensition and LW24-40.5/72.5 tank type circuit breaker are special circuit breakers used for switching back-to-back capacitor bank and parallel reactor bank. The teachnical data reach the international top level. Type LW25-252 porcelain type SF6 circuit breaker with 50kA of breaking current filled the blank at home in China. LW25-252 three-phase mechanically ganged-operated SF6 circuit breaker reaches advanced international level. On Sept. 11th. 2007, 220kV and above circuit breakers with "XD" brand got "China Top Brand" Products. In 2003, in order to expand cooperation with foreign companies, the Company imported product technology from Southern States, Inc.of America to co-operate 126~800kV HV disconnector. The first set of 800kV disconnector at home in China has been put into service at the national first 750kV substation Guanting substation. From Dec. 2006, developed 1100kV disconnect or has been operating live in 1000kV A.C. UHV testing line of SGCC. After entering new century, in order to develop EHV. UHV transmission equipment, the Company has invested 450 million Yuan RMB to construct new factory field of 147 kilo square meters in Xi'an Economic & Technology Development District, in which there are manufacture shophouses of 60 kilo square meters. After establishment, the production capability of the main products of the Company, HV circuit breaker, HV disconnectors, HV current transformers, will be improved furtherly. During the eleventh "Five-Year-Plan", the Company is going to continue to keep concept of "Using Equipment Produced by Chinese to Equip China", take "Promotion of National Industry" as our responsibility, set up national flag in HV switchgear field through innovation, brand strategy, capital operation, occupy advanced position in international, top positin in national field and construct a modern enterprise for contribution to the national transmission and transformation industry.
